RBI vide notification Nos. RBI/2020-21/90 dated 5th February, 2021 has decided to restore the Cash Reserve Ratio (CRR) in two phases.
Banks are now required to maintain the CRR at 3.50 per cent of their Net Demand and Time liabilities (NDTL) effective from the reporting fortnight beginning March 27, 2021 and 4.00 per cent of their NDTL effective from fortnight beginning May 22, 2021.
